Medicaid Update
December 26, 2026
Valued Peace of Mind Clients,
It is with great sadness that as of January 1, 2026, our practice will no longer be able to accept Medicaid. This includes Oregon Health Plan (OHP), the Bridges Program, and Pacificsource Community Health Solutions. Just this week, we were made aware of changes to Medicaid that will not be sustainable for our practice.
You can continue to work with your Peace of Mind provider (Kate Coppedge, Alison Gardner, Brittney Osborne) and pay the self-pay rate at a 25% discount. If Medicaid is your secondary insurance, you will now be responsible for the co-pay or deductible determined by your primary insurance plan. Co-pays will be due at the time of your visit.
We realize paying cash may not be a viable option for many households. We recommend transferring your care to your primary care provider until you are able to get established with another psychiatry office. If you are currently taking prescription medication, Peace of Mind will refill your prescription for the first 1-2 months of 2026 (i.e. most controlled substances will be one month).
The following psychiatry practices in Bend list accepting Medicaid on their website:
• Healthy Minds Central Oregon
• Life Works of Central Oregon (Nick Campo)
• Deschutes County Behavioral Health
We appreciate your understanding that this decision was not made lightly. Please reach out if you have any questions or if we can support your transition to your primary care provider or new psychiatry provider.
With Sincerity,
Natalie Muphy
